In 2018, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 didn't feature a campaign mode, becoming the first and only game in the series to hold this distinction. The campaign has been something of an afterthought in many recent Call of Duty games. The Call of Dutyseries offers many ways to play with friends, but in recent years the campaigns have been restricted to a single-player experience. Call of Duty fans are calling for the return of campaign co-op in future iterations of the franchise.
